A lot of people confuse Online Coaching with Virtual Training. Online coaching is like personal training that takes place over the internet versus in-person. However, it is not real time training like 1-1 personal training or virtual coaching and it does not involve video calling during your workouts. You will receive everything you will need to start your fitness journey towards reaching your goals but you execute the workouts and nutrition by yourself at your own time following the personalised plans you will receive from me. It is a new and exciting way to offer Fitness Coaching Services and achieve life-changing transformations. It involves truly bespoke training and nutrition programming, frequent support via email and weekly in-depth video feedback. But, most importantly, you'll be signing up to work directly with me, and I pride myself on my track record in producing amazing results and supporting my clients every step of the way to their transformation! Obviously if they put in the effort and do the required work. Nothing improves without effort and work.
Very often – we'll communicate at least a few times per week! Once a week on an agreed day, I'll send you a check-in form/questionnaire that will provide me with information beyond what I can acquire from tracking your training and nutrition alone. The check-in form will inform me of anything you might be struggling with, your likes, dislikes, required changes, energy levels, mood, sleep, weight etc. Alternatively, you can check in by sending me a video update – summarising your week via video can make it easier to convey thoughts and feelings. Using this information, along with your exercise and diet tracking, I'll provide you with personalised video feedback or email if preferred, where I'll highlight areas in which you're doing well, things that can be improved and what we need to work on moving into the following week. All this ensures we're consistently moving towards your goal at a rate you're happy with.
Yes, when I create your plan, I'll keep in mind both your level of experience alongside you goal. I work with beginners to advanced lifters. Upon sign up, you'll be required to complete a questionnaire; this will provide me with all the information I need to design your plan. If you're a beginner, I'm going to ensure you achieve fantastic results in the quickest possible time and eliminate the guesswork. If you're an advanced lifter/athlete, then I'm going to ensure I take your training and knowledge to the next level.
It depends on your goal. You might not need a gym membership. When I create your plan, I'll design it around the equipment you have available. However, if your goal is to build muscle and you have no equipment, then you will have to either joining a gym or purchase some basic equipment; like a set of adjustable dumbbells and a bench, or a set of resistance bands. It all depends on the desirable goal.
Nope, I work with people from all over the world. 80% of my clients are based in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, and the remaining 20% are around Europe, the United States and the rest of the world. One of the best things about online personal training is that you can work with me from anywhere in the world.
Many of my clients have jobs that require them to travel regularly; this makes online personal training an ideal fit for them. I'm happy to alter the plan so that you can stay on track while travelling.
Absolutely! Everyone is different; therefore, everyone will receive a fully customised/bespoke training and nutrition plan. I do NOT offer any cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all training or diet plans. Upon signup, you'll be required to complete a questionnaire that will provide me with all the information I need to create your plan. Once I've created your programme, I'll send you a detailed email or a 20 to 30-minute video taking you through the ins and outs of your plan and explaining why you'll be doing X exercise and why you'll be required to eat X amount.
I don't accompany a video library with demos of exercises yet. Google has millions of people demonstrating every exercise possible. However, any exercise you are still unsure of, you can record yourself performing that exercises and forward it to me. Then, during your weekly video feedback, I'll be able to critique your form and help you correct it. If necessary, I can always record myself performing the movement with full explanation to help you clear things out.
We'll communicate regularly throughout each week via email. Each Sunday, I'll send you a weekly check-in form, and it's here where you can provide a detailed update on your week. Alternatively, you can update me via video. I'll respond to this check-in form/video update via personalised video/email feedback, where I'll provide a detailed analysis of your week. My response feedbacks are early in the week. Then later in the week, I will communicate with everyone to see how they are getting on and provide some extra support. On top of this, you will be able to message me at any time with questions throughout the week. I provide a truly 1-to-1 approach to online coaching!
Your training sessions won't be done via Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime. You'll be supplied with a bespoke training plan and a personalised email/video explaining it, thus you'll know what you need to do during each session. I offer personal coaching where I'll ensure all aspects of your training and nutrition are optimised, not fitness instruction or online classes where the focus is solely on the workout. You'll receive a significant amount of support, including weekly check-ins and weekly personalised video/email feedback plus text support if needed.
Your check-ins can be sent via video or email summarising your week. Video can make it easier to convey thoughts and feelings. Using this information, along with your exercise and diet tracking, I'll provide you with personalised video response/feedback. This video exchange allows for a very unique, communicative and truly 1-to-1 approach to online coaching.
I create a google drive folder with all your required files alongside your training program and tracking files. You'll be logging your sessions either via mobile or desktop, every rep, set, weight used, step count etc. I'll then go through this data and progress made via your weekly video feedback.
Once you pay for online coaching, I'll send you a questionnaire to complete. Once you've completed your questionnaire and provided your front, side and rear photos, I'll then get started on your plan. Then, I will create your plan within the next few days (four days max). This is the time it takes to create a truly customised programme.
I'll measure your progress via many metrics, such as progress in strength (progressive overload), measurements, scale weight, improvements in endurance, and of course, assessing body composition changes via progress photos and/or body fat measurements if can be taken. Full measurements and progress photos are done every four weeks, other metrics like strength and weight I will track every week.
Most clients see progress just after a few weeks of following their plan properly. How long it will take to achieve your desired body composition goal, really depends on what your goal is. I'll do everything in my power to help you achieve your physique goal in the quickest possible time. In fact, I pride myself on helping people transform their body in the quickest possible time, assuming you follow your plan!
No, I will design a plan to fit around your lifestyle. Most of my clients train 3 to 4 times per week, but I have clients who train once per week and have others who train over seven times per week. I'll design the plan around what is optimal whilst ensuring it's realistic.
I'll track your food diary directly via your google drive folder files, or if you prefer, we can use the MyFitnessPal app. Using a food diary, I can ensure you're within your calorie targets, nailing your macros ratios and consuming an overall nutrient-rich diet.
No, only you and I will have access to your google drive folder and progress photos. The progress photos and transformations I might post on my social media or website are all at the consent of clients who don't mind sharing their fantastic progression.
Absolutely! You'll know exactly how many calories, protein, carbohydrates and fats you should be consuming each day. You'll know what foods to eat and what foods are best avoided. You'll know what will be required pre and post-workout to optimise your performance and recovery. I will inform you on how to plan/schedule your meals to optimise protein synthesis (muscle gain). All this whilst providing delicious recipes to help keep things exciting. I will completely remove the guesswork!
